Transform Houston: 10,000 Students, College Ready

With more than a decade under our belt, 2009 is a year for more growth at YES Prep. While we are maintaining the quality of our program, we are also laying the groundwork to grow to 13 schools and serve 10,000 students.

• For the ninth consecutive year, 100 percent of YES Prep’s graduating seniors have been accepted into four-year colleges, including Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Rice, Stanford, Texas A&M, the University of Texas-Austin
• 84% of YES alumni have graduated from or are still enrolled in a four-year college
• 75% of YES alumni who have graduated from college have returned to work and live in Houston
• YES students have earned nearly $23 million in scholarships and financial aid
• YES is the only charter school system that has earned the top Texas Education Agency ratings of Exemplary and Recognized at each campus, every year of operation.

YES PREP CLASS OF 2009

• 100% of the Class of 2009, 82 graduating seniors, were accepted to four-year colleges
• Over 90% of the Class of 2009 graduates are first generation college-bound
• Over 95% of seniors have been accepted to at least two colleges/universities
• 82 seniors submitted 690 applications (average of 8 applications per student)
• Students of the Class of 2009 have already received more than $3.3 million in financial aid, scholarships and grants... and we're still counting!
