What is your favorite YES Prep memory?
I loved our home basketball and volleyball games at Ripley House. At the time, YES Prep Southeast had no gymnasium or other indoor practice facilities. As a result, all of our home games were held at the Ripley House and all practices were held in our parking lot.
Name the teacher/staff member who had the greatest impact on you and why.

YES Prep Southeast Class of 2008 graduate and current Harvard senior, Keara Cormier-Hill, shares how a summer internship set her on a course for a career in non-profits.
When I began college in the fall of 2008, I hoped to pursue a career in journalism or communications after graduation. However, by the end of my junior year, I realized I had different goals for my immediate future. What is your favorite YES Prep memory?
Playing Frisbee during lunch is by far my favorite. There was a crew of us who would scarf our food down as fast as possible to make enough time to play Frisbee for the rest of the break. We always played in the school parking lot because it had the most space. The location made for interesting games; we ran into dumpsters, cars, teachers, traffic cones, flower beds, younger students and the concrete. We played rain or shine and would happily go to

What is your favorite YES Prep memory?
No one memory sticks outs more than the rest, I had many great memories at YES Prep. However, I would not have experienced so much of the culture that Houston has to offer or other major cities in this country without YES Prep. I was able to experience many cultures through the volunteer work, field trips around the city, and spring trips I was privileged to be a part of. It was so eye-opening to learn of the country’s diversity during the spring trips. They are
