YES Prep hits the road in the new year

Last year, YES Prep received about 1,200 teacher applications for 95 positions making it one of the most competitive teaching jobs in the United States. We will be hiring another 80 teachers for the 2010-2011 school year to facilitate our growth and send more of Houston’s students to college. We will be visiting many colleges and universities around the nation to spread the word about what we are doing to change the educational status quo in Houston.

Check out this list of stops in January:

January 9^th - Teach For America Las Vegas Valley Professional Saturday, Andre Agassi College Prep, Las Vegas, Nevada. (Teach For America LVV Corps Members and Alumni only)
January 12^th – Teach For America Chicago School Leadership Networking Event, UIC College Prep, Chicago, Illinois (Teach For America Chicago Corps Members and Alumni only)
January 15^th – Prospective Teacher Campus Visit, YES Prep North Central, Houston, Texas. If you are interested, please follow this link to register. Registration closes on January 14.
January 20^th – University of Michigan Winter Career Expo, UM Union, Ann Arbor, Michigan
January 28^th – Rice University Spring Career Fair, Student Center, Houston, Texas
January 28^th & 29^th – University of Texas El Paso 2010 Career Connections, Tomas Rivera Conference Center, El Paso, Texas
