We Did It! The proposed cuts in charter schools were defeated!

Thanks to all of you who contacted your representatives to vote against the proposed funding cuts in education. Together, we were able to defeat the $800 million cut in education reform funding, including $100 million cut from charter schools. 

Your emails, calls and texts in support of education reform worked!  Working alongside the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools, we mobilized nearly 100,000 communications to Congress on this issue, and the Senate reacted to this work by voting in support of education reform. Please take a moment and let Congress know as an education reform supporter, you value their standing strong in support of education reform and charter schools.

YES Prep supporters have made a significant impact on this debate, standing strong in support of education reform, charter schools, and improving our nation’s education system.  We will continue to keep you informed and let you know how we can continue to influence policy and make an impact that benefits our nation's children.
