Tomorrow, schools across Texas will take the Texas state standardized test, the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills. 8th graders have already taken a round of tests and the 8th graders at five YES Prep campuses have already proven that students from all background can be successful when given access to great teachers and school leaders. The amazing growth of our 8th grade students is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our teachers who will do whatever it takes to ensure that more low-income students from Houston finish a four-year college.
