The Answer
We need your support
In order for YES Prep Public Schools to continue providing a great education in disadvantaged communities, we rely on the support of individuals, foundations, and corporations to help us meet our funding needs.
YES Prep Public Schools is a free, public charter school - open to all students. As a public charter school, YES Prep receives 20% less state and federal funding compared to traditional public schools: $1,500 less per student, each year and NO funding for facilities. Although YES Prep students attend longer school days, service projects, spring college trips and summer school, it costs the same amount to educate a YES student as it does a student attending a traditional public school.
Help bridge our funding gap
Every gift to YES Prep is an investment in the future of a student and the future of our city. We encourage you to become involved in one or more of the following ways:
DONATE
Every gift to YES Prep enables us to continue preparing low-income students for college by creating opportunities that are not available elsewhere. We welcome recurring or one-time gifts of any size. You can even donate online through our secure payment system.
JOIN SCHOLARS SOCIETY
Scholars Society members sponsor YES Prep students as they pursue the goal of attaining a degree from a four-year college or university.
Scholars Society Members have access to personal interaction and correspondence with their sponsored student at Scholars Society luncheons and receive exclusive invitations to YES Prep events throughout the year. Join Scholars Society by making a one-time gift of $1,500 or a monthly pledge of $125 for twelve months. Prospective Scholars Society members are also invited to join us for the Community Breakfast Fundraiser on October 9th, 2009. With questions about YES Prep's Scholars Society, or to register for this event, contact Director of Development Jessica Caroe.
All donations are tax-deductible. Donate Now and your gift will help YES students achieve their dreams of collegiate success.
